Tommy Hill is setting his sights firmly on acquiring more podium credits at Oulton Park for what will be the second triple-header to be held at the Cheshire circuit this year.
Marking the sixth round of the season, reigning champion Hill comes into the Oulton Park event with a slender six point lead over Shane Byrne in the overall standings, though they are split by just two points in terms of podium credits.
As such, this is where Hill is determined to stretch his advantage, the Swan Yamaha rider confident he can fight for three wins and the maximum of nine podium credits this weekend.
“I always look forward to Oulton Park as it is one of my favourite circuits and after two very strong finishes at Knockhill we are coming in to the weekend hoping to stick the Swan Yamaha back on the top step of the podium again.
“We have three chances this weekend but I am taking it one race at a time as everyone is pretty even and we just need to keep pushing on as a team and looking for those race wins and podium credits. There are lots of riders who are going to be up there fighting but I am just focused on trying to get three wins for Swan Yamaha so we can add to our tally before the Showdown.”
Hill was a race winner at Oulton Park earlier this season and has gone on to win once more at Snetterton.
